Hello crafty friends,
Wondering why my title says 2 things today? Oh well, sometimes its good to change things up from the usual way and try something fun! Don't you agree? I feel it keeps up the motivation going as well.
So, each month on 7th, the collaboration post for #craftingwithcraftyfriend goes live and this month's challenge given to us by our partner was to use white florals.
There are endless possibilities for that. You can do watercoloring, pencil coloring, die cutting, creating handmade florals in paper or fabric etc. etc. etc.. But they are so intimidating, because of the color white or because you can say, we can't use any other color.
Let's jump onto my creation and check out how I made it (if you are interested):
The card is as simple as it seems like. Nothing fancy and not much to do here, but, here the design is the main element and all you have to think about. Why, because the florals are in focus and they are white in color. Sounds funny, but I find it difficult to keep a subtle design and hence my card making process takes a lot of time.
I have dry embossed with one of the Altenew dies on the craft base and also the craft base is cut using the Altenew frames die. Then, I have used the garden picks 3D die from Altenew and cut 2 florals and 3 inner leaves from the largest leaves die. The inside of the flowers are done using copic markers in Yellow, just so they stand apart like pollens and also, they are giving florals the much needed focus.
Lastly, added the gold heat embossed sentiment 'Best Wishes' from Altenew Sentiment strips stamp set and the card was ready. Also, forgot to add, there are some mandatory splatters of white, golden and black paint on the background to create some drama.
Hope this is inspiring in some way to you and you like the creation as well.
Thanks.
Regards
Disha
