Hello again everyone,
A small act of gratitude goes a long way! Don't you agree? Sometimes you just need a simple 'THANKS' and it all turns out so nice evrywhere. It means a lot to share this gesture to anyone who you know or a complete new person.
Why this topic, because of the creation here:
Yeah well, as you can see, I finally tried some mixed media style after a long long time now. I always want to, but get cold feet after thinking about it. Mixed media is anything where you use multiple mediums in the make and have fun around with them all.
Here for example, I have used Altenew inks, Altenew dies, Ranger UT powder, Altenew Antique gold embossing powder, Clear embossing powder etc. So for me, as I understand mixed media, it is a mix of many diff types of products all together.
The Altenew inks used here (to give the ombre effect on blues) are: Tide Blue, Starlight, Desert Night.
The brown one is : Milk Chocolate.
Regarding the card details, I first used ALtenew 'Just Leaves' stamp and did clear heat embossing on a kraft cardbase. Then with the same stamp set, did a partial gold heat embossing in few petals. After that, had cut diff dies (leaves) and also the tag border as you can see and Moroccon tile die and arranged everything like so:
That was all as far as the description is concerned. I am super happy with the outcome and it was fun to give time to some mixed media, yet controlled way of creating the card. I looooove the vintagish kind of vibe and the colors paired together. That moroccon background die is pure joy to use too. It is giving such an aesthetic feeling to the whole creation. Wouldn't you agree?
The inspiration is again from the Altenew August Inspiration Challenge this month:
