Altenew September 2022 Enchanted Winter Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello there dear readers and my lovely friends,

We are here again with the new Altenew blog hop releasing the lovely embossing folders and standalone stencils. I was super happy to get the invitation for the same and also checking out and working with these lovely products is so exciting.

My project inspirations are as below with the details mentioned alongside:

1) Have a magical holiday:

Here, I have used an old background die and the new Happy Holidays embossing folder from Altenew and created half half pattern on the card base. Then, on top of the embossed image, I have used a gold wax and highlighted it. Also, added gold splatters to give more shine and shimmer. Then, on top,  have added poinsettia watercolored images from an older stamp set, a gold mirror frame and a sentiment to bring everything along.

This card has kind of mixed media touch you can say and I am very happy with the outcome, because this came better than my imagination. It has become one of my favorites from the full release projects.

2) Season's greetings:

As soon as I saw this folder, it just spoke to me as if its saying, please cover me with copics and make me charming. Hahaha. So, it's a pretty straight forward creation using just the copic markers and few splitter splatters of the black paint. Gives me that wintery look and feel.

3) Wishing you all the love and happiness in the world:

This is a wonderful stencil set and I will definitely be using it more and more in the future. For now, I kept it simple by using the altenew inks and coloring on the kraft cardstock (because I use it very less) and decided to go on this route. Lastly, have added the wishing die from black cardstock (cut 4/5 times) and added a lovely sentiment below it to finish the whole sentiment.

4) Pen box (3D project):

I was getting bored with creating just the cards for everything and hence, I decide to make something else for my craft table. There are pretty much 100s of possibilities with the embossing folders to do so. I decided to make a pen stand (to keep things simple) and have embossed the pattern on a black cardstock and added 2 different shades of waxes on top of it. It was fun one to work and see it come to life.
Unfortunately, I forgot to write the dimensions for making the box, but if I plan to make another one, definitely will add them here.

5) Happy Holidays:

Here, the embossing folder was speaking loudly to make a scene out of it to me. I was trying my best to do so, but in the process, I broke my embossing folder, it shifted and the pattern didn't come out so prominent. I have just added few colors here and there for sky and tress. I was very sad that my folder got broke and this was the only thing I could do from it.

6) Just for you:

Now, this project uses the main products from the marvelous monthly series released this month, but it really was created to showcase the enamel dost Altenew has released today. I hope it's visible I have used the enamel dots from the red sunset family and if you wish to know the details of the cards, please do let me know, I will update the post with those as well. Most of all, it is pretty straight forward creation using the stamp set and coordinating stencil to color it up. Added splatters in the background and the die cut is 4 images thick. The frames embossing you see in the background is done using the dry embossing technique from the Altenew thin frames die.

  13. Your cards are lovely. It's too bad your folder broke. Maybe you can line it up and tape it together. I did that with a folder once. It seems to work fine.
